Renowned as an artisan cheese company and found in select The Fruit Company® gifts, Rogue Creamery is dedicated to sustainability and the art and tradition of making the world’s finest handmade cheese. The Creamery has won numerous trophies and awards, including World’s Best Blue Cheese at the World Cheese Awards in London, which was a first for an American creamery.
Rogue Creamery was founded by Tom Vella during the Depression of the 1930s in southern Oregon. Despite the nation’s economic hardships the Creamery did surprisingly well and provided a source of income for many small farms in the Rogue River Valley. After the war it became the first major supplier of cottage cheese for the state of Oregon. Inspired by his success, Tom decided to expand to blue cheese. He and his wife spent the summer of 1955 in Roquefort, France, where the world’s finest blues were made...

We are in the midst of a wonderful season of snow here in the Valley. The lower elevations (from the Columbia River and town up to our facilities) are just out of reach of the snow, but go any higher and you have a winter wonderland.
