Nothing feels quite as quintessentially American as the Fourth of July. Barbequing hot dogs, picnics with apple pies and watermelon, family get-togethers, enjoying the sunny outdoors, fireworks… they're in many ways the essence of Americana.
With that also comes the American farmer. Our nation was built upon the rich soils of agriculture, a tradition we're proud to continue to this day. Our grandfather moved west to Oregon in the 1940s to capture that American dream of succeeding at what he loves, which was growing deliciously healthy fruit.
Today we and many other families strive to perpetuate this rich legacy in providing our communities with healthy, fresh fruit and vegetables. We urge you to go out this summer and visit a local fruit stand or farmer's market and support your local farmers. Not only does your money go directly to the source, but you experience some of the best produce possible. We're part of the Fruit Loop here in Hood River, a beautiful drive dotted with numerous stands selling produce and handmade wares. The experience is wonderful.

Ah, Mother Nature. She's so unpredictable! This year she decided to postpone our summer weather, and as a result all of our fruit is taking longer to come to that perfect, tree-ripened state.
If you or someone you know is a HarvestClub® member, that means that your shipments from June – September will be roughly 2 weeks late. Normally they ship around the beginning of the month. Rather than send you sub-par fruit or outsource to questionable sources in warmer climates, we strive to send you nothing but the World's Finest from our backyard, even if it means delaying your anticipated shipment a bit.
