Despite the still-hot temperatures here in Oregon (high 80s and low 90s!), the telltale signs of autumn are already on their way. Here and there along the glacial Hood River a few rogue trees have decided to call it a year and are already sporting colored leaves. The sunlight, now less abundant and lower in the sky, has taken on more of an amber hue. The evenings and mornings are cool and refreshing.
Here at The Fruit Company® we've been picking summer pears and the first of the apples (Honeycrisps are almost here!), and preparing for the full force of the fall harvest season rapidly approaching. The fruit looks outstanding once again this year and we're incredibly thankful for the abundance of fresh, new fruit.
We also just finished our Holiday 2008 catalog after numerous photo shoots, layout dilemmas, and (best of all) taste testing the new gifts. Yes, we said new gifts. As in dozens of them. We can't reveal them yet unfortunately-- you will have to wait until they debut near the end of October online or at the beginning of November in our new, gorgeous, shiny catalog.
